Achos newydd o Coronafeirws yn Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones

There has been a new Coronavirus case at Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones, Amlwch.

However, robust social distancing measures at the school have ensured that no one else has been designated as a close contact of the positive case. Parents and staff have been informed earlier today (Friday, October 16th).

There is currently no evidence to suggest transmission within the school setting and it will remain open.

The secondary school is working closely with Public Health Wales, Anglesey County Council and NHS Wales Test, Trace and Protect to ensure that all the appropriate measures are in place to protect students, staff and the wider community.

Anglesey’s Chief Executive, Annwen Morgan, said, “We will continue to work closely with Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones and monitor the situation in all schools affected by Coronavirus, to see whether any further action is needed.”

Information provided to the individual has been issued under the instruction of: Test Trace and Protect regional hub on behalf of Public Health Wales Health Protection Team.
